CfR, Workshop: The Cognitive and Ontological Dimensions of Naturalness, HHU Düsseldorf, May 22-23, 2023

This workshop brings together recent research on criteria of naturalness of concepts. A particular focus of the workshop are criteria explicated within the theory of conceptual spaces. Such criteria rely on a cognitive notion of naturalness, whereas contemporary analytic metaphysicians tend to be more interested in the structure of external reality. This raises the question of the relationship between the cognitive and ontological dimensions of naturalness, i.e., the main theme of the workshop.

The workshop will be held in a hybrid format, meaning online participation is possible.
