CfA: Nominierungsvorschläge für den GWP-Vorstand (Nominierungsfrist: 15. Januar 2022)

Die Gesellschaft für Wissenschaftsphilosophie (GWP) verfolgt die Zielsetzung, die Wissenschaftstheorie in deutschsprachigen Ländern zu unterstützen und international zu vertreten. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahre 2012 organisiert die GWP dreijährlich eine Konferenz, unterstützt junge WissenschafterInnen, verbreitet Informationen über Forschung und Projekte innerhalb und außerhalb des Faches, setzt sich für Freiheit von Forschung und Lehre ein, und befördert nationalen und internationalen Austausch innerhalb der Wissenschaftstheorie.

Auf der nächsten ordentlichen Mitgliederversammlung der GWP an der TU Berlin (GWP.2022) finden wieder Vorstandswahlen statt. Der GWP-Vorstand umfasst folgende Funktionen:

  • PräsidentIn
  • Zwei VizepräsidentInnen
  • SchatzmeisterIn
  • GeschäftsführerIn

Gerhard Schurz als derzeitiger Präsident und Uljana Feest als Vizepräsidentin scheiden mit Ende dieser Periode aus.

Als neuer Präsident wird seitens des Vorstandes der Organisator der GWP Konferenz 2022, Axel Gelfert (TU Berlin), vorgeschlagen.

Das Amt einer Vizepräsidentin/eines Vizepräsidenten ist zu besetzen.

Von den derzeitigen AmtsinhaberInnen stellen sich für eine weitere Periode im Umfang von drei Jahren zur Verfügung:

  • Vera Hoffmann-Kolss (Vizepräsidentin)
  • Christian J. Feldbacher-Escamilla (Geschäftsführer)
  • Alexander Gebharter (Schatzmeister)

Thomas Reydon ist kooptiertes Vorstandsmitglied (Kooperation mit dem JGPS).

Mitglieder der GWP können weitere Nominierungen für alle Ämter vorschlagen, im Speziellen für das vakante Amt der Vizepräsidentin/des Vizepräsidenten:

  • Nominierungsvorschläge bitte per E-Mail an folgende Adresse: info@wissphil.de
  • Die Frist für Nominierungsvorschläge ist der 15. Januar 2022
  • Vorgeschlagene Personen müssen ihrer Nominierung zugestimmt haben und Mitglied der GWP sein.
  • Nominierungen für die beiden Ämter PräsidentIn und GeschäftsführerIn sollen gewährleisten, dass deren Forschungseinrichtung auch Sitz des GWP-Büros sein wird und von ihnen das Online-Portal der GWP betreut wird.
  • Die Mitglieder des Nominierungskomitees sind: Andreas Hüttemann (Universität zu Köln), Holger Lyre (Universität Magdeburg) und Anne Sophie Meincke (Universität Wien).
  • Aus den eingegangenen Nominierungsvorschlägen wird das Nominierungskomitee eine Liste mit KanditatInnen für die Wahl vorbereiten, die vorab allen Mitgliedern der GWP zugestellt wird.

 

 

CfA: Suggestions for Nominations for the GWP Steering Committee (Deadline: January 15, 2022)

The German Society for Philosophy of Science (GWP) aims at supporting and internationally representing the philosophy of science in German speaking countries. Since its foundation in 2012, the GWP organises triannual conferences, supports young academics, distributes information about research and projects within and beyond the philosophy of science, advocates the freedom of research and teaching and encourages national and international exchange between philosophers of science.

At the next general assembly of the GWP at the GWP.2022 conference in Berlin, the next elections of the steering committee will take place. The GWP steering committee encompasses the following roles:

  • President
  • 2 Vice Presidents
  • Treasurer
  • Managing Director

Gerhard Schurz as current president and Uljana Feest as vicepresident will leave the committee at the end of this period.

As new president of the GWP, the steering committee suggests the organisator of the GWP Conference 2022, Axel Gelfert (TU Berlin).

The position of a vice president is vacant.

The following current office holders continue to remain available for one further period of three years:

  • Vera Hoffmann-Kolss (vice president)
  • Christian J. Feldbacher-Escamilla (managing director)
  • Alexander Gebharter (treasurer).

Thomas Reydon is a co-opted member of the steering committee (cooperation with the JGPS).

Members of the GWP can suggest further candidates for all offices, particularly for the vacant office of a vice President:

  • Suggestions for nominations should be sent to: info@wissphil.de
  • The deadline for suggestions is January 15, 2022.
  • Nominees need to be members of the GWP and need to have agreed on their nomination
  • Suggestions for nomination for the office of the President and the office of the Managing Director need to guarantee that their department also serves as the registered office of the GWP and that they maintain the GWP’s online portal.
  • The members of the nomination committee are: Andreas Hüttemann (University of Cologne), Holger Lyre (University of Magdeburg) and Anne Sophie Meincke (University of Vienna).
  • Based on the suggestions for nominations, the nomination committee will prepare a list of candidates that will be sent out to members of the GWP before the elections.
