Call for applications: Postdoctoral Fellowship (Logic, Epistemology, Philosophy of Science), University of Turin.

The Department of Philosophy and Education at the University of Turin (Italy) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship (AOSs: Logic, Epistemology, Philosophy of Science), funded by the PRIN PNRR project “Controlling and utilizing uncertainty in the health sciences”, coordinated by Alexander Gebharter (Ancona) and Lorenzo Rossi (Turin).

The project focuses on the application of formal tools (including modal logics, Bayesian epistemology, decision theory, and more) to the analysis of uncertainty in scientific results and decision making, especially in the health sciences. The scope of the project, however, is rather broad, and we welcome candidates with a wide variety of research backgrounds and areas of expertise.

The postdoctoral fellowship will last for 16 months. Deadline: May 13, 2024 (1pm, UTC+2 CEST).
