The newly published volume Understanding Science with Large Language Models? Potentials for the History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science will be launched at an online event on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
The volume brings together contributions on the use, limits, and implications of large language models (LLMs) for the history, philosophy, and sociology of science (HPSS), as well as related fields such as digital humanities, science and technology studies, scientometrics, and computational social science.
The event will take place via Zoom on Thursday, 16 July 2026, from 17:00 to 18:45 Berlin time / CEST.
